This nine days ritual is performed to worship Goddess Shakti and her divine incarnations such as Tara Devi, Tripura Sundari, Kali, Bhuvaneshwari, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumravati, Baglamukhi, Matangi and Kamala Devi.
