Sankalp is the oath taken with the Vedic mantra to complete any task. It may be a Puja, a Homam or anything you are doing.

The process is-

  1. Before saying the Sankalp, you must read the Swasti Sukta according to the version of Veda your family follows.
  2. Then, say the Sankalp using the mantra.
  3. After saying the Sankalp, you must read the Sankalp Sukta according to the version of Veda your family follows.
