Please Goddess Lakshmi by Chanting Shri Suktam Mantra
In the spiritual scriptures, Goddess Lakshmi has been considered as the sign of divinity and glory. Great saints like Shri Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Shri Nimbarkacharya, Shri Vallabhacarya have adored her for her great power. She is believed to have emerged as the fourteenth ratan during the Samudra manthan and is the spouse of Lord Vishnu. She is the deity of Venus as per the astrology and is worshipped on Friday.
Goddess Lakshmi: Another Name for Wealth
Lakshmi is the synonym for wealth and prosperity. She had reincarnated in eight forms, which is also known as Ashta Lakshmi. The eight forms are:
1. Adi Lakshmi (Maha Lakshmi)
2. Dhan Lakshmi (wealth giver)
3. Dhanya lakshmi (giver of agricultural wealth)
4. Gaja Lakshmi (giver of power of royalty)
5. Var Lakshmi ( giver of beautiful boons)
6. Santan Lakshmi ( giver of progeny)
7. Vijay Lakshmi ( giver of success)
8. Vidya Lakshmi (giver of knowledge)
Chanting Shri Suktam
It is not possible to worship all the eight forms of goddess Lakshmi, yet it is essential to keep all the forms appeased. The mantra is a part of Rig Veda, in which Suktam means a statement of gratification. It is even believed that Goddess Lakshmi never ignores the powerful chanting of Shri Suktam.
Importance of Shri Suktam
The chanting is dedicated to Agni Dev, which is, in turn, worshipping Lord Vishnu who is the spouse of Goddess Lakshmi. Agni Dev is the god of fire and all the ahuti is dedicated to the fire to appease him. In the mantra, the motherhood, divinity, blessings, glory, radiance and beauty is beautifully described.
Advantages of the mantra
She becomes satisfied if the mantra is chanted with complete devotion and dedication. Goddess Lakshmi has an elder sister who is also known as Jyestha Lakshmi and is known to shower curses upon the devotees. However, the ill-effects of Jyestha Lakshmi can be eradicated if the Shri Suktam mantra is chanted properly and complete devotion. One can get all the wishes fulfilled by chanting this mantra.
