On the pure occasion of Govardhan Puja, the victory of Lord Krishna over Lord Indra is celebrated. When the people of Vrindavana were worshipping Lord Indra who is a lord of thunder and rain in the rainy season for an abundant yield, Lord Krishna raised the question about Lord Indra and the festival.
Lord Krisha told them about the importance of conserving nature for immense rainfall and suggested to take care of nature.
