One must perform Gauri Shankar Puja on Fridays in the morning hours. Sankalpa is made and the idol or picture of Gauri Shankar is worshipped by offering yellow flowers and Gauri Shankar Mantra “Om Bhavani Gaurie Pati Sukh Saubhagyam Dehi Dehi Shiv Shaktiyee Namah” and “Hey Gauri Shankaradhan Yatha Twam Shankarpriya Tatha Maa Kuru Kalyani Kantkantan Sudurlabham” are chanted rigorously.
