Practicing simple yet useful rituals are really beneficial to welcome peace in the family. So one must every day follow these anushtanas like lighting a lamp in the morning and in the evening at the entrance of the house is considered to be auspicious. It is believed that anything that crosses the agni will be purified and it destroys all the bad impacts.

While cleaning the entrance of the house, one must mix a spoonful of turmeric in water and sprinkle then draw rangoli in front of the house with rice floor to welcome goddess Lakshmi.

Whenever the lady of the house is cooking food, she must keep chanting mantras. It adds power to the food and will keep the entire family healthy and protect them from illness.

Children especially students should be taught simple mantras to chant after taking a bath that will increase their concentration and will make them gain interest in studies.

One must use good words and speak positive things as the ‘ashta dikh palakas’ will bless you as ‘tathastu’ which means your wish will be fulfilled.

Playing devotional songs in the morning and in the evening will create positivity in the house.

Every day before consuming food, take out a handful of food and put it in the backyard so that the animals or birds can have it.

One must not get up in the middle while having food whatever may be the situation otherwise it is considered as disrespect of the food or the ‘anna dwesham’.

While you are litting a lamp, first show the flame to the deity then lit the lamp by reciting the mantra.

Ladies if possible should apply kumkum made of turmeric and not apply stickers as the goddess Lakshmi resides in the kumkum.

One must pray or listen to light music before going to bed as it helps you in getting a sound sleep and will cure diseases related to brain and nerves.
