Important Facts

Goddess Dhanya Lakshmi is portrayed in our Hindu Scriptures as an eight-armed deity dressed in green attire. She is depicted as holding lotus flowers in two of her hands whereas mace, sugarcane, paddy crop, banana are held in other arms. One of her arms is in Abhaya Mudra while the other is in Varada Mudra.

As per Mahabharata, when Pandavas were in exile, Goddess Dhanya Lakshmi Came to Draupadi and gave her a wooden bowl that was filled with food. The bowl which was given by Goddess Dhanya Lakshmi never got empty and it helped the Pandavas to survive in the forest. Hence, people worshipping Dhanya Lakshmi will never face the scarcity of food in their lives.
