What's Included

Available only in Delhi NCR, Bhoomi Puja is the Hindu ritual that includes the following procedure;

  1. Clean the site, dirt and all the trash holes just before you start the Puja.
  2. Then, dig a hole in the North-East direction on the construction site.
  3. Sit facing the East direction at the time of puja.
  4. The lady of the house has to boil the milk & allow it to spill.
  5. Later, place the idol of the Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi & other deities on a clean platform.
  6. Cover the coconut with the red cloth & place it on the ground along with silver idols of Naag & Nagin.
  7. Later, Devi Puja, Sankalpa, Shatkarma, Pran Pratishtha and Manglik Dravya Sthapana are also performed.

Important Facts

The ideal day to perform this ritual is either Monday or Thursday while Shravan, Margshirsh, Paush, and Kartik are the auspicious months during which you can carry on the Bhoomi Puja. To take a note, this Puja should not be performed on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Divas Karma, Hadpaksha and Shradh paksha as well.

Furthermore, this puja must be done by the head of the family alongside his wife in the presence of an experienced Priest. Also, one must consult experienced pundits to find out the right time i.e Shubh Muhurat for the Puja to be performed.
