Unmattha Bhairav a four-armed deity is said to be the fifth among the Ashta Bhairavas who appears with a pleasant face of fair complexion. Each of these hand carries a Kunda, the Khetaka, the Parigha(iron bludgeon) and Bhindipala (javelin), rides on the Horse with his consort Varahi Mata in the west direction.

Regarded as the wandering form of Lord Shiva, Bhairava features the eight forms reflecting distinct characteristics. Said to represent the five fundamental elements of air, water, fire, earth, space and also the Sun, Moon & Atma.
