Ayusha homam is performed to increase the longevity of a person. During this puja, Ayur Devata is worshipped. It is believed that he the God of life and he bestow his blessings on the longevity and good health on his devotees.

Anyone can person his puja, despite his age, caste and creed. The date of the puja can be fixed based on the Jenma Nakshatra of the person. During the puja, steamed rice is used as the main ingredient in the homam and to appease Ayur Devata.

When to Performed

• This homam must be performed on the day when the janma nakshatra of the person who is performing the homam arrives and can be performed on any auspicious day if the person is not well or in critical condition.
• Must be performed on the 1^st birth day of child
